The Thinker’s Keys

I first came across The Thinker’s Keys while working as a classroom teacher in 2008. I revisied them in 2011 at a Waikato Science Teacher’s Association meetiing

Thinking is a core skill. Thinker’s Keys are tools to help you think about a subject in different ways.

  • Learn to use past knowledge on different situations
  • Embed key facts
  • Develop understanding
  • Appreciate different perspectives
  • Reinforce using different learning styles
  • Make new connections
